Entirety

The phrase, “by the entirety,” describes the ownership of all of a piece of real property by two or more people, on such terms that it cannot be divided between them. Upon death of one, the whole property goes to the other. This commonly the way in which property is owned by the husband and the wife (See Joint Tenancy).
