Position Allowance

For some people coming from a very low-salaried country to a much higher one, the allowances may not bring the income level of the expatriate to that of the lowest paid local peer. In this situation the company may provide an allowance that would bring the expatriate’s level of compensation to that of the lowest paid local hire in the same position.
