Stopovers

The assignee may need to lay over and/or change methods of transportation en route to the foreign location, particularly when the distance or transit time between the home and host locations is great. If overnight layovers are necessary, hotel and travel arrangements should be coordinated in advance, and the company will normally reimburse these expenses.
